Is scalp micropigmentation permanent?
Yes, scalp micropigmentation is a permanent process, the pigment will fade slightly over 10 year time. You can have a hair transplant after having scalp micropigmentation, because this procedure won’t affect the hair growth or hair follicles.
How to prepare for scalp micropigmentation?
It is recommended to shave the scalp using a zero razor, or to a maximum length of 2 mm (shaved with an electric razor). This will assist the treatment professional carrying out the work and will make the end result much more realistic.
This will give indication concerning the hairline and the shades and tones which you are accustomed to wearing.
We recommend our clients to go for a freshly-shaved or ‘buzzed’ look and shave every 2-3 days after the treatment.
Will my scalp micropigmentation fade from the sun?
Unprotected sun exposure is the number one enemy of tattooing. So you must avoid prolonged, unprotected exposure to the sun. Use a high factor sunscreen or if in doubt, protect the scalp by wearing a hat or avoiding the sun during peak period.
How will I look after a treatment?
We kindly ask our customers to bring a cream which will reduce redness. However, you may expect some degree of redness, which will start to subside within one to four days, depending on your skin. After treatment, you can return to your normal daily schedule.
Can I take a shower after scalp micropigmentation treatment?
You may take a warm shower on the day of treatment. But you are requested not to use a shower mitt on your scalp for only two weeks.
How long should I expect my treatment sessions to take?
Usually, one session is enough to achieve the final desired look. Each session will vary in time, depending on individual, but expect a treatment period of 6 to 10 hours. After treatment, you can send photos or come for control.
